NONA : Portugese name for a CUSTARD APPLE, CHIRIMOYA in Spanish. It is interesting to learn that this word is peculiar to Catalan Bay. This has come about as a result of the Catalan Bay evacuees who spent the war years in Madeira.

NUEZ NOSCA : Bad Spanish for NUEZ MOSCADA. The English is NUTMEG.
